– Get Heard in the UK Parliament
Join this digital session to find out what Parliament is, what it does and how to get your voice heard on issues you care about, especially Carers rights, as we mark Carers Rights Day.
We will explore the following topics:
- working with your local MP and with members of the House of Lords to raise your concerns
- relevant groups (Select Committees) within Parliament who challenge the Government on their policies and how to work with them
- working within the law making process and how to get involved with UK Parliament and Government Petitions.
The workshop is for any carer over the age of 18, and is facilitated by Lynn Hobson, Senior Education and Engagement Officer for North East, Yorkshire and Humberside for the UK Parliament.
We’ll also be sending all attendees a cream tea or similar treat on the day!
When: Monday 22 November from 12.45 to 2.30pm
