– Bereavement coffee morning and performance
Join us and Next Door But One Community Arts Collective for a supportive coffee morning and free performance, for carers with experience of grief and bereavement.
We’ll watch the play Operation Hummingbird, which is a conversation across the decades about a sudden family death, which realises an opportunity that we all wish we could do at some point in our life; go back and talk to our younger self.
Taking the key themes from his own memoir, The Day the Alien Came, Matt Harper-Hardcastle’s play explores terminal illness, anticipatory grief and the complicated journey of living with loss.
This play was originally created for York’s Dead Good Festival 2020 and has been redeveloped for audiences in 2021. It is approx. 40 minutes in length and features 2 actors.
There will be opportunities to chat and have refreshments with our Carer Support Workers, the cast and company, and other carers afterwards.
When: Sunday 5 September 2021 at 11am
Where: The Gillygate, York
