Would you like to start, or go back to work?  It might feel like a daunting prospect if you have never been in paid work or are returning to work after spending time out of the workplace.  We can provide you with information and advice to help you get started, ranging from:

  • An informal chat about your ideas, needs and next steps
  • Information about where to find courses that will help to increase your confidence and help you become ‘work-ready’
  • Information about where you can get help with key documents such as CVs, covering letters and application forms

National Careers Service provides information, advice and guidance to help you make decisions about learning, training and work. Jobcentre Plus may be able to help with care, training or travel costs to allow you to attend courses or interviews. Ask your local Jobcentre Plus about Work Preparation Support for Carers.

Princes Trust provides employment support for 16 – 30 year olds. They offer free courses to develop skills and confidence, get a taste of a new industry or arrange work experience.
